Project Overview
Adventures in Learning was a 13-episode digital video series developed for PBS Parents, designed to show busy families simple, creative ways to support children’s learning across science, math, literacy, and social-emotional development.
The series translated educational concepts into accessible, hands-on activities, delivered through short-form video for a broad public audience.
Scope of Work
I originated the concept for the series and served as host, writer, and producer across all episodes. My role spanned development through delivery, including:
Concept development and series framing
Writing episode scripts and activity outlines
On-camera hosting and audience engagement
Creative production and coordination
Shaping tone to balance educational rigor with warmth and clarity
The work required translating complex ideas into clear, engaging formats while meeting public media standards and production timelines.
Context & Collaboration
The series was produced within a public media ecosystem, requiring alignment with editorial standards, audience expectations, and platform goals. Episodes were designed to be shareable, practical, and visually engaging, while maintaining trust and accessibility.
Several episodes gained significant traction for the time and were featured across well-known parenting and media sites, extending the reach of the project beyond its original platform.
